Judge Anthony Quinn killed in auto-bike accident in Mill Creek Canyon

Salt Lake City, Utah, 24 October 2013 – Another senseless death resulting from the collision of a vehicle with a cyclist.  This time the cyclist was doing nothing that could be construed as “wrong”, or “illegal”, or “stupid”.  He was simply riding his bicycle uphill at the same instant a driver who was more interested in the fall leaves than another man’s safety crossed the roadway hitting the cyclist head on and killing him.  We can only hope that Judge Quinn’s status in our community will ignite something good and lead to positive changes that make Utah roads safer for cyclists.   This is an important reminder that each of us needs to consider the safety of others at all times.
